Welcome to Ichthys Diving

Eco Friendly Dredging and Diving Contractor

Welcome to the Pond Restoration Experts!

GOT MUCK? DIRTY POND? WE CAN HELP!

Ichthys Diving offers an environmentally friendly process that clears out the sediments, toxic gasses and algae. When a pond is created it begins a dying process. Over time leaves, weeds, algae and other organic matter travel to the bottom of the pond, breaking down and taking the form of sediment (muck). This is the direct cause of the many problems that pond owners have. Dregding is a unique, efficient, and economical way of removing the muck thus restoring your pond to its original state of life and depth, frees up covered springs, irrigation systems, culverts and more! This method also allows for easier algae maintenance, without harsh chemicals! Our certified commercial divers, use high-volume suction pumps to remove the muck/sediment, loose clay, leaves, sand, and foreign debris, etc.

Our method of dredging:

  •  Our system of sediment removal, a fraction of the cost mechanical dredging.

  • No draining of your pond or relocating aquatic life.

  • No mechanical digging which can rupture lined ponds or change existing designs, requiring extensive permitting.

  • No damage to your landscape due to heavy equipment.

  • Specific placement of Sediment to a desired location.

We provide work for the following:

  • Private Ponds

  • Golf Course ponds

  • Swimming ponds

  • Fishing ponds

  • Public Ponds

  • Retention Ponds

  • Lakes

  • Canals

  • Harbors

  • Pump Houses

  • And Many More!!!

What happens to the Muck?

When the sediment is removed from the pond it will be in the form of a watery slurry. This watery slurry will take the path of least resistance, spreading out across the land. The water will sink into the ground or evaporate leaving behind the muck. This muck is full of excellent organic material which is an amazing fertilizer! Our most common methods of removal include:

  • Open Discharge, pumping into a flatland, field or wooded area.

  • Reservoir Containment, we will construct a backstop with raised sides, to contain the material. Building up an area allows us to contain the muck. Once dried, it can be hauled off.

  • Geo-Textile bags, pumping the slurry into a containment bag. Water will drain from the bag leaving the sediment behind. Level ground is required for this method. If no level ground is available, a method of leveling (bringing in wood chips, etc), will be necessary.

Our methods of discharge heavily depend upon the terrain.
